I've been thinking about this issue for a long time. Some people say leaders are born.
I am absolutely convinced that anyone can become a good leader, as long as they have a mindset to become one. What is that mindset? Here it is.
A good leader is one who is committed to serving rather than being served. This means the leader must focus on meeting the needs of the people being led. Too often, people think of great leaders as people who have their vision and go on to achieve it to a certain extent like Hitler. I do not consider this great leadership. I cannot agree that the majority of German people were bothered about conquering Europe. For those who were, the idea was sold to them.
A good leader identifies the needs of the people he or she leads and his or her vision is linked to meeting these needs.
Some good leaders: Jesus (the Ultimate Leader), Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa.
