I received a text message this morning asking me to pray for 22 Christian missionaries, who were allegedly kidnapped by the Taliban, and their families. I've done my bit to forward the message by text and emails to friends asking them to do the same.
What is baffling to me though is no news agency seems to be carrying the story, which makes me wonder if it is true or not.
Regardless, my thoughts are with them and I've said a quick prayer for them. If the news is indeed true, then maybe this was the purpose for which they were created and they will never be forgotten. Therefore, I wish them God speed and pray that the Lord will give their loved ones the strength, courage and faith to deal with their loss.
If it is a lie, then there are some sad people in this world.
